Casandra Gomez Alvarado

Casandra J. Gomez Alvarado received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Casandra is currently a project coordinator for the TEAMS and 4KEEPS Study under Dr. Ana Lau. She previously worked in the Culture and Anxiety Lab for Mental Health Advances (CALMA) under Dr. Denise Chavira and in the Social Affective Neuroscience and Development (SAND) Lab under Dr. Jennifer Silvers. She intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to increase the effectiveness and accessibility of mental health services for youth from underserved and at-risk communities. During her free time she enjoys dancing, music and spending time with friends and family.
